The Great Courses
Self-Education Products from The Teaching Company
An important secondary theme of my book, Objectivism: Reality Anchored Principles, is to show any able human how to enrich their general knowledge well-beyond that of a university education and how to do that conveniently with great pleasure and little cost.
I write about The Great Courses in my book because the book’s content and my ability to confidently write it were significantly enriched by those courses. And the observations that I write there are principally about those courses that are of an academically important nature. I submit that from these types of Great Courses you can also earn much importantly valuable knowledge.
Furthermore, to get a good grip on objective reality, a reasonably broad knowledge context is necessary. To earn such a context, I recommend a reasonable quantity and variety of academically important Great Courses. However, no precise method exists by which to distinctly identify such courses. Nevertheless, by your own observations, you can easily identify these types of courses for yourself.
Also, note that the Watchlist and your account’s Dashboard are excellent tools for planning and tracking your viewing progress.
